The company wants to recruit a bright and conscientious individual who can work in a small, but busy team. You will need to be able to work to realistic deadlines, with the ability to grasp in-house systems quickly, and have the drive and enthusiasm to make an immediate positive impact on the business. You need to be able to work unsupervised, and have an excellent eye for detail, and be articulate and presentable.

Applicants should have at least one year on the job experience in designing website artwork as well as provide an impressive portfolio of work.

Applicants will be responsible for the general maintenance of websites and will answer to the Maintenance Manager.

• liaising closely with a customer, client or the Maintenance Manager to discuss minor changes that are required and document times.
  
  
• ensuring that material on the web site is accessible to all groups including those with disabilities;
  
  
• testing the site for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions;
  

Applicants will need to have a knowledge of graphic design packages such as Fireworks or Photoshop in order to produce basic layout and manipulate images. Skills in cascading style sheets (CSS), e-commerce and server side technologies, such as PHP and ASP, and internet security are also a bonus but not necessary.

Eventually if you wish, you will gain experience and understanding of developing and maintaining dynamic websites using ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, Actionscript and Javascript. You will also have the opportunity to work with our staff who hold the MCSD Microsoft Certification. The Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) for Microsoft .NET credential is the top-level certification for advanced developers who design and develop leading-edge enterprise solutions, using Microsoft development tools and technologies as well as the Microsoft .NET Framework.

Applicants will be responsible for the layout, visual appearance and usability of a website. This role may overlap with that of a web designer. Using a combination of graphic design skills and technical knowledge of how web pages are created, the work involves:

• liaising closely with a customer or client at the design stage to answer questions such as: why is the site needed? who are the target audience? who are the leading competitors? etc;
  
  
• producing a design that will be attractive to the target user, has a logical navigation system and has all the features required;
  
  
• writing web pages in a combination of codes, such as hypertext mark-up language (HTML), Javascript, CSS or using code-generating programs, such as Dreamweaver;
  
  
• deciding on how images and other material will be digitally optimised and presented for the web;
  
  
• ensuring that material on the web site is accessible to all groups including those with disabilities;
  
  
• testing the site for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions;

Developer (Programmer)

The company wants to recruit a bright and conscientious individual who can work in a small, but busy team. You will need to be able to work to realistic deadlines, with the ability to grasp in-house systems quickly, and have the drive and enthusiasm to make an immediate positive impact on the business. You need to be able to work unsupervised, and have an excellent eye for detail, and be articulate and presentable. General knowledge of computer networking and hardware issues would be an advantage.

Highest regard would go to applicants who have prior experience developing dynamic, database driven websites using Dreamweaver WYSIWYG and/or MX Kollection/Adobe Developer Toolbox, in ASP VB Script or PHP. Experience with Photoshop, Fireworks and Flash is also required.

Web Designer

The primary focus of this role is to represent Web Design Magic and introduce their products and services to prospective new customers in an effort to achieve sales targets.

To be successful within this role you are required to:

• Have the ability to remain focused, productive and organised with strong writing, public speaking and communication skills.
  
• Must be articulate and have a professional appearance.
• Generate new business through sales activities such as prospecting, cold calling and relationship building with the ability to build an instant rapport with people from all walks of life.
• Compiling self-sourced lists of prospects for use as sales leads, based on information from the web, newspapers, business directories and other sources.
• You must have the ability to work autonomously whilst achieving exceptional results with a strong work ethic.
• Business-to-Business experience is highly regarded.
• Previous experience in sales is essential and knowledge of the IT industry is preferable.

We provide all your sales tools. Salary is commission based with bonuses for results. Your ultimate success will be a direct result of your own endeavour and skills.

Working hours are flexible with fast commission payments. We get paid 50% up front, so do you!
