Quality services work like Magic

Local Companies are being urged to offer quality services to customers in a bid to bolster business in the wake of tough financial times.
Burleigh Waters resident Tanya Hawes, who has run online company Web Design Magic for 11 years, said IT was a difficult industry to crack on the Gold Coast.
“It is a challenging field because of the large area and because there are a lot of people who do not give the industry a good name,” she said.
“The economic situation has led to competition in the field growing so you have to offer quality to get customers.
“I think some businesses are on the way back to good times but a lot are still struggling while others are looking for ways to work smarter to their benefit.”
Web Design Magic won the Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards’ Information Technology and Multimedia Award for June and it will be in the running for Gold Coast Business of the Year. The awards are open to businesses between Yatala and the border that are outstanding achievers in one of the nine different categories.
Each monthly winner will be considered for the 2010 Business of The Year Award, which will be announced at Jupiters Hotel and Casino on November 20. Final entries close on October 1.
