Web Design Magic's Day at 2009 Annual Tech-Ed exhibition!

So what is Tech Ed? Basically, Tech Ed is an annual event held by Microsoft that spans over three days at various cities around Australia. This year the Gold Coast was lucky enough to have it right on our doorstep for the first time and it’s an event that any person who is into computers (dare I say a geek even) would not want to miss. The day started early for most exhibitors. We set up our own Web Design Magic stand and had a good look around at what this year’s tech-Ed had to offer. Now, let me tell, you the amount of information at this event was astounding! For someone who is fairly new to this industry, I learnt so much about every day technology, right down to things like servers and the new Microsoft 7.

It’s amazing how computers and technology changes so rapidly. I was lucky enough to get hands on with Hewlett Packard’s newest touch smart computer that is controlled simply be touching the screen with your hands. I also got to play with some of the latest and greatest gadgets, ride around on an electric esky scooter and take pictures of my head in different MSN bodies. Daren scored one of the latest gaming mice as a lucky door prize, although he did watch the pretty little red dirt bike that he was ‘set to win’ go to someone else. It was an eventful day!

All in all, Tech Ed was absolutely worth attending and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in all things tech. There really was a lot on offer and my guess is that it can only get better next year.

Oh, don’t forget to check out our image gallery for the pictures that we got from our day out!
