My passion for technology stems from the days before the Internet. Once I saw the Internet in full swing in the late 80’s I saw it’s potential. Now with a Masters Degree in System Development and a MCSD I lead this company with the hope to one day become one of the largest web design mobs in the world!
(* Scary Dracula Laugh *)
As Director, I have been a part of the Web Design Magic team since it’s birth 11 years ago. Although not as tech savvy as the rest of our nerds, I look after the accounts, administration, HR and oversee the office in general. I also make a mean cappuccino for visitors from our espresso machine.
A jack-of-all-trades, I maintain our internal network and dedicated servers, as well as being our database administrator and all-round help-out kinda guy, still occasionally getting my hands dirty in a bit of code. I can usually be found in the corner saying things like, “Have you tried turning it on and off?”
I organise and guide the process of our jobs. I communicate with clients and staff to help from the beginning to the completion of projects, distributing work around the office. I still like to jump on the tools and help when I find time and I am also involved with the Marketing as well.
I have a love affair with technology that extends back to dismantling transistor radios without parental approval. My involvement in IT goes back to 1980 playing Lemonade Stand on an Apple II, a game all about resource management. Today, as Web Design Magic’s Development Coordinator, I am still using those skills.
My role is that of Project Team Manager. I work closely with the developers to make sure all is rolling smoothly by ensuring the development team is suitable for the task at hand. I am also responsible for finding additional development staff when required. By working close with the Development Coordinator we are able to deliver our projects.
‘Awesome Web Designer’ - Well thank you! I am continuously looking to push the boundaries of interface design and usability by using modern technology and design and have been doing so going on five years now. I also enjoy frequent coffee, loud music and am a DeviantArt addict.
As a big, red headed human I was born to stand out in a crowd and I try to emulate this philosophy in each and every website I create. I enjoy creating concepts for customers that have that KAPOW! BOOM! and BANG! and converting them into great websites.
I have been involved with many of our ASP.NET projects, and most of them are SharePoint based and I equip my skills in SharePoint development by achieving MCTS – MOSS 2007 certification. In recent projects, I have worked with Kentico CMS from simple open voting system sites to the large community based sites.
OK This is how it is. This is not my BIO, but instead one that the internal design team added for me as I was away on 'Get me your BIO by 5pm' day. That's okay, in a few days time I will think of something witty to write here!
With a Bachelors in Communications and Marketing and a Diploma of Advertising, I’m here to help our clients find the right web solution to meet their marketing needs. CMS? SEO? CRM? LOL?...Confused? No worries, I’m here to help, It’ll be ok.
Ohhh I hate doing Bio’s! I can tell you that I enjoy working on projects with my team and that it is a great feeling when something comes together. I also have other hobbies, but my passion is in programming.
After carrying out work experience a few years back I am currently completing a Certificate IV in Multimedia. I take care of mainly maintenance, help the other designers around here with their projects and answer a few phone calls along the way. I am without a doubt a giggler which becomes infectious around the office, but what’s life without a bit of fun?
I have a life long passion in computer programming and hold a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science having started my working life as junior programmer. I have core skills in web services, but most of all I have a strong interest in the .Net Framework and of late exploring skills on Kentico CMS.
Yep, they call me the new boy! I bring to the table not only my web design skills, but also ASP.NET programming and system administration skills. Bundled up, these skills help me create the website of your dreams. I dare you to dream an idea I cannot build!
I love SharePoint. I love creating solutions for our customers that work, look great and best of all functional. I have seen many poor attempts at systems and feel with our skillset you will be pleased!
I’m a word geek. I was first turned on to the power of ‘online’ words when I analysed the content of hundreds of websites as Manager of Competitive Intelligence at Motorola. Now, I help other businesses harness that power by writing “Web Words that Work”.
